Come join us for the 7th annual Ski Season Kick-off Party presented by Bent Gate and supporting the American Mountaineering Museum and the Colorado Avalanche Information Center!

Every year hundreds of dedicated skiers and riders from around the front range come out and celebrate the coming snow at the American Mountaineering Center.

To help spread avalanche awareness, the Kick-off Party will be featuring the Backcountry Games. Come try your hand at 'Timed beacon searches', 'Timed split board transition contest', ‘Timed blind folded shovel assemble’ and more!

There will be a mini winter sports EXPO outside the convention area of the AMC and after our raffle and silent auction we will be showing Icelantic's latest ski film in the auditorium.

The Ski Expo runs from 5-7:30.

The Raffle, Silent Auction and Giveaways will take place at 7:30.

The movie will begin at 8:30. This years movie is presented by Icelantic. It is a film about the 10th Mtn Division and the story of some Icelantic athletes reliving their footsteps through the training grounds in Colorado. It also covers the story of how the members of the 10th returned from the war and started the ski industry here in the US.

Purchase tickets in advance and your $20 will get you admission to the film, one beer ticket, one raffle ticket and 3 backcountry games tickets! (Additional beer/drink, raffle, and backcountry games tickets can be purchased on the night of the event.)

Beer will be provided by Oskar Blues Brewery. The food trucks will be Basic Kneads Wood Fired Pizza, The Beef King and Ice Cream from Banomanom.
