Harvey Carter

Check out some of Harvey Carter's personal items currently on display in the American Alpine Club Library. Harvey Carter's collection is currently housed by the American Alpine Club Library and this small display ranges from climbing hardware to gold equipment.

Harvey Carter is an iconic Colorado climber with over 5,000 first ascents to his name. He established many of the routes in Garden of the Gods and many significant first ascents in Utah's desert, including the first ascent of the Priest in 1962.
