Something Yet Higher: The Life and Times of An American Mountaineer remembers the life and mountaineering achievements of Charles Madison Crenchaw, the first black American to stand on the summit of North America’s highest peak, Denali.

This eight panel display was put together by James Edward Mills author of The Adventure Gap: Changing The Face of Outdoors, in collaboration with the Next 100 Coalition. James’s work can be seen in publications like Rock & Ice and Alpinist, on his website https://joytripproject.com/

The Next 100 Coalition is a non-profit organization with the goal increasing diversity on America’s public lands. See the great work they’re doing on their website https://next100coalition.org/

The exhibit will be on display through May 30, 2020.
